Water Lane, date unknown. The Old Post Office is behind the tree in the centre-left. Ralph Warboys wrote: Where the hedge is on the left is now the entrance to Holme Close and the site of the cottages on the right now form part of Arcadia Gardens. The cottages on the extreme left were at the corner of the footpath leading to Cherry Orchard and were demolished in the 1930s.Similar view to above, but taken in 2008. The course of Water Lane has been clearly been straightened somewhat since the old photograph above was taken.
