56 High Street, date unknown (possibly c.1939?)

RW considered this to be one of the oldest houses in the village, with parts of the building being probably 15th or 16th century with 17th century additions.

Earlier photograph of 56 High Street. The wall at the front was reduced in height in 1939 and wrought iron railings erected on the wall. These were then taken for scrap metal during the second world war.
