Oakington Graves

Probably many of the inhabitants of Oakington do not know of the existence of the Graves of the Oakington Martyrs. They are situated in a railed enclosure near the Church, access being from a path near the Water Lane entrance to the Churchyard.


The men are Francis Holcroft who died in 1687, Joseph Oddy who died in 1692 and Henry Osland who died in 1711. The first two of these were imprisoned for many years under
